Back at school we had free time and took off our sandy shoes and socks. With the canteen full of food most people rushed to get something before it was all gone.

Last Friday was our walkathon. We all managed to finish at the beach and saw a breaching whale and maybe its cub. At the surf club we got an icy treat. Years three to six walked around the island while kinder to year two just walked along the beach. We sang along to 'Shine Together' and rested under the shady trees eating lunch and chatting.

Congratulations Sari.
Sari's environmental artwork has been chosen to appear on the 2018 Eurobodalla Shire Council calendar. Sari will now meet with the Mayor on Monday 20 November for the launch of the calendar. Well done Sari. Using 12 marshmallows and half a packet of spaghetti the students had to make the longest structure they could. It proved challenging but fun. Some worked and some didn't Baxter ended up making a taller building.
Last Thursday was recognised as outdoor education day, 4H and 4/5M celebrated it by taking our Math lessons outdoor. The weather was warmer than anticipated and most of the activities involved a lot of running, jumping and skipping so the students were exhausted by the end of the session. It was fun and the students enjoyed the change.
Mrs Morgan forgot to take out the cameras but thanks to Mrs Hounsell and her iPhone, we managed to snap some photos. Charlie was chosen to represent our school at the Regional Spelling Bee finals. When we held our Years 3 & 4 spell off, Charlie managed to out spell the other competitors and was the last student standing. Good luck at the finals Charlie, we will be cheering for you.
At our last assembly Pypar received a medal because she was announced as the 2017 Junior Girl Athletic Champion.
