This week we have been doing NAIDOC activities in class. In one we had to write down the story that we thought a piece of aboriginal art work was telling. Another activity we did was creating our own piece of aboriginal art and writing our own story to fit with it. We also learnt what the some aboriginal symbols mean. Like a U shape means a man. At our NAIDOC week assembly some students read out their story and showed their art.
by Charlie Last Tuesday we had our track carnival at C.O.P. We had 3 different races 100m race, 200m race and 800m race. We also had our marching and tug war. Rover were the strongest because they won the junior and senior tug war match. The marching was won by Boolbee, with Lee and Warrigal tied second and Rover coming in last. We had some Carroll College students came to help with timing the races. The weather was perfect. By Emily and Akira Last Monday year 5 and 6 went to south Broulee Beach and we got to learn more about marine life and how muscles and oysters stick on to the rocks. by Bailey
On Monday the 5th of June Emily, Neve, Charlie and Ellie went to the hall to present their speeches. Sadly none of us got through to the next round in Milton. We all tried our very best and hope that maybe we could get through next year. Shannon and Stella were the two chosen to go to Milton to present their speech. By Ellie and Neve
Charlie and Emily have been learning how to code robots in Special Interest Groups. It is amazing what they are achieving. At this week's assembly Emily was surprised when her Superhero Vegetable design was a winner in the School's recent Fruit and Vegetable promotion. Emily was happy to receive a voucher to spend at our canteen. Well done Emily.
